- recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking an Information Security Specialist to provide IT systems security support in compliance with the NIST standards and covers all information assurance functions across all task areas.
You will need thorough knowledge and understanding of Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), including the NIST 800 series Special Publications (SP), FedRAMP, and Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) guidelines and regulations.
This role will support one of Tantus' Federal clients in their Information Security & Privacy (IS&P) Governance Support area.
This is a remote position.
Must reside in the US.
What You'll Do:
Support intake program to coordinate with tool administrators to create and maintain requests and ensure all tickets are within respective systems.
Document ticket status, actions taken within the intake and tracking tools as requested Utilize existing COTS software and tools to create and update incoming tickets for the organization Provide support to requestors to accurately document the tasks associated with the request in a way the managers will clearly understand the request Participate in meetings with management for the intake process and assignments Provide oversight in the day-to-day maintenance and delivery of intake system Provide appropriate settings/updates to intake tool as necessary to maintain a functional and operating intake ticketing and reporting system including interoperability with interagency intake/ticketing systems Document the complete process utilized for the intake process utilizing COTS software provided by the FAA.
Provide presentations, ad hoc reports, evaluations, and reviews on an as needed basis.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Successful completion of a four (4) year degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering/Math/Science At least three (3) relevant years of experience planning, managing, and implementing technical IT Security projects/programs under Government contracts Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize data Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance Abilities:
Ability to work independently or as part of a team Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented Excellent verbal and written communication skills Nice to Haves:
Proficient in Microsoft Tools.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
