IPTV Network Engineer with Security Clearance
Job Description The selected candidate's primary responsibilities will be to provide video teleconferencing, implementation and maintenance support of Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) initiatives for a government agencyProvide management and oversight to audio visual integrators/partners and employees on video teleconferencing projectsProvide leadership on new/upgraded video teleconferencing projects in the areas of project design and engineeringProvide engineering and technical input to create, maintain, and implement video engineering standardsThis position requires the following functions to be performed as needed:
designing, engineering, installation, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, supporting conferences, and monitoringWill comply with all DoD guidance and policies in VTC project engineering and design, with regard to the installation, configuration, and management of Cisco IP systems to perform real time conference scheduling, bridge management, and connectivity support for a global IP and ISDN video teleconferencing networkWill configure and test new technology to enhance the current systems and pioneer technology for new systemsMay serve as team lead or assist team lead for the management of tasksThis position is located in Washington, DCThere is no relocation assistance available for this positionApplicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Washington DC or surrounding areasRequired Education, Experience, & Skills High school diploma and at least 11 years of related experienceCCNA certificationSecurity
certifications in accordance with DOD 8570 InstructionExperience with Cisco/Tandberg MCUs, Video Communications Server, ISDN Gatekeeper, and endpoint productsExperience with larger enterprise IP networks and related networking equipmentKnowledge of unicast and multicast video trafficKnowledge of DoD policies and procedures with regard to the installation, configuration, and management of Cisco VTC Systems to perform real time conference scheduling, bridge management, and connectivity support for a global IP and ISDN video teleconferencing networkThorough understanding of network technologies (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewalls, Switches) and protocols (IPv4/IPv6, OSPF, BGP, PIM, STP, ERPS)Ability to provide technical and operational guidance for DoD customers in establishing and operating video teleconferencing systemsAbility to thrive in a high OPTEMPO environment and handle requirements on a daily basisExperience with Wide Area Networks, IP networks, and BoIPRouting and switching experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications or a related fieldNetwork
