Summary You will serve as an ENGINEER OR SCIENTIST in the NAVSEA PROGRAM EXECUTIVE SUPPORT of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI.
This ND-04 position is equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade levelsDutieso You will serve as an onsite torpedo project engineer in support of the Undersea Weapons Program Office (PMS404).
o You will perform a variety of engineering tasks involving research, design, development, acquisition, Test and Evaluation (T and E), and in-service support for torpedo systems.
o You will provide expert engineering and technical management advice and consultation as well as coordinating, planning and reviewing assigned program activities.
o You will be responsible for supporting the Program Manager (PM) and Assistant Program Managers (APM) in the formulation, definition and modification ofproject objectives and requirements.
o You will perform engineering assessments and analyses, and provides recommendations to influence project activities, proposals, and overall direction of work.
o You will provide technical expertise in support of project execution and assessment; evaluates feasibility of new concepts and principles and makes technical recommendations on proposed implementation.
o You will identify and track integrated project schedules; work collaboratively with technical personnel from within and outside the agency (WarfareCenters, University Affiliated Research Centers, industry, and others).
o You will be responsible for leading working groups, Integrated Project Teams, planning meetings, program reviews, and the project System Engineering Technical Reviews.
o You will perform duties as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) as appointed and in accordance with NAVSEA's Contracting Officer's Representative InstructionRequirements Conditions of Employmento Must be a US Citizen.
