Responsibilities Serve as a data governance subject matter expert in developing a comprehensive data governance strategy and implementation plan for the Mission Services Headquarters.o Perform a risk analysis to identify potential data risks and vulnerabilities and propose risk mitigation strategies.o Create a comprehensive inventory of the organization's data assets.o Assess the quality of existing data and identify areas for improvement.o Design a tailored data governance framework that aligns with the organization's objectives and culture.o Define roles and responsibilities for data management.o Map out the data lifecycle from creation to archival or deletion.o Define processes for data retention and disposal.o Assess current data security measures and propose enhancements.o Develop a strategy for protecting sensitive data.o Ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.o Develop training programs to educate employees on data governance principles.o Raise awareness about the importance of data management.o Develop a change management plan to facilitate the adoption of new data governance practices.o Address cultural and organizational barriers to change.o Establish a process for reviewing and obtaining approval for the proposed data governance framework and policies.o Incorporate feedback from key stakeholders.o Develop a phased implementation roadmap for the data governance initiatives.o Prioritize tasks based on their impact and feasibility.o Document all aspects of the data governance framework and policies.o Provide knowledge transfer sessions to enable the client to manage and maintain the data governance structure independently.o Design a continuous improvement plan to regularly review and enhance the data governance framework.o Establish mechanisms for ongoing support and collaboration.o Consider legal and ethical implications of data governance.o Ensure that the proposed data governance framework aligns with the organization's values and legal obligationsQualificationso A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline.o Relevant certifications in Data Governance, such as Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), or similar certifications.o Proven experience working in the field of Data Governance, Information Management, or a related area.o In-depth understanding of data protection and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA) and the ability to ensure compliance within an organization.o Strong knowledge of data management principles, including data quality, metadata management, data classification, and data lifecycle management.o Ability to conduct risk assessments related to data and develop strategies for risk mitigation.o Familiarity with data management tools and technologies.o Knowledge of database systems, data modeling, and data integration.o Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.o Strong documentation skills for creating policies, procedures, and reports.o Ability to analyze data governance requirements and translate them into actionable plans.o Awareness of legal and ethical considerations related to data, including issues of confidentiality, security, and data ownership.o Understanding of the industry or sector in which the organization operates, including specific data governance challenges and opportunities.o TS/SCI with polygraph preferred. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
