Mid Logistician with Security Clearance

Overview Nakupuna Consulting is looking for a Senior Logistician to provide general integrated product support (IPS) to PMS-317, who is responsible for a portfolio of weapon systems and capabilities under PEO ShipsThe ideal candidate has significant experience with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems, and equipmentResponsibilities The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assignedManagement may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
o Assist in the preparation of logistics planning documents including system analyses, requirement analyses, financial/budget planning documentation, and application analyses.
o Prepare Product Support Management (PSM) planning and acquisition documentation required and in accordance with latest DoD 5000.
02 series from program inception for the life cycle support and maintenance of the class.
o Assist in planning, execution, coordination, integration, and oversight of all IPS activities and projects to include, but not limited to:
Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) meetings, program reviews, logistics briefs, maintenance of calendars for scheduling, tracking program logistics-related events, and for assigning recurring and emergent tasks and action items.
o Assist with conducting and reviewing ILS analyses to ensure supportability product integrationo Assist in the planning, identification, development, implementation, integration, and monitoring of ILS processes and strategies.
o Support the integration of all logistics activities related to the development, design, production, and Life Cycle support for assigned product lines to ensure ILS program integration and success.
o Assist in the planning, coordination, execution, and issue resolution for Program Independent Logistics Assessments (ILA).
o Conduct research relative to alternative support strategies and provide reports that identify high cost equipment by Allowance Parts List (APL), Allowance Equipage List (AEL) and Equipment Identification Code (EIC).
o Prepare, maintain, and produce monthly metrics briefs utilizing Model Based Product Support (MBPS), the designated government Configuration Data Management System.
o Prepare Allowance Change Request (ACRs) / Allowance Exception Request (AERs) for Program Office approvalo Assist in the identification and implementation of process improvements and best practices.
o Identify new business opportunities on the program and nurture relationships for existing and new work in the futureQualifications Skills/
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate possesses expertise and experience in DoD weapon system life cycle managementSpecifically, the ideal candidate will be familiar with and have experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:
o Demonstrated knowledge of life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems, and equipment and understand Navy supply support codes and product support management products.
o Demonstrated understanding of DoD program office acquisition/sustainment supportEducation and
Experience:
o Bachelor's degree (required) in a supply chain or logistics discipline (preferred).
o Relevant experience related to acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery and final disposal of resourceso 5 years relevant professional experience in integrated logistics support Location:
Washington, District of Columbia Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a government-issued CAC and possess a Secret clearance.
