Summary:
Life Cycle Engineering is looking for Naval Architects and Marine Engineers to join the LCE team supporting PMS 300 and 325 in Washington, DCAs a Naval Architect or Marine Engineer, you will provide support for the Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E); Command, Control, Communications, Computers & Intelligence (C4I); and mission equipment and systems installed aboard ships, boats, craft and targets, including Combat Logistics Force (CLF), Special Mission Ships, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) assetsClearance Required:
o Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance Essential Functions and
Responsibilities:
o Provide engineering/technical support for concept studies; feasibility studies; preliminary design activities; contract design activities; detail design and construction activities; independent design reviews; In-service ship design and engineering activities; shipboard installation support; and special studies related to ships/boats/craft, ship systems and/or shipboard equipment.
o Conduct reliability, maintainability, availability, transportability, hazard, environmental, occupational health, safety, risk analyses, and other system engineering analysesThe Contractor shall provide reports, plans, and other substantiating documentation as required.
o Facilitate and provide required technical information expertise to Integrated Process Teams (IPTs), special advisory boards, off-sites, working groups and audit teamsThe Contractor shall perform research and work along with USCG, ABS, and other key stakeholders, such as, the Military Sealift Command (MSC).
o Provide support in the development, analysis, testing and certification of materials and their application.
o Review, maintain and make recommendations with regard to engineering plans, annual reports, program records, technical manuals, design histories, design configurations, databases, regulatory body and other documentsRequired Education, Skills, and
Experience:
o Bachelors of Science in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Transportation o Senior Level Experience Required, 10 years Navy procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); Ship Operations and/or shipboard testing; Supervisory experience; experience communicating with Program Management Preferred Skills and
Experience:
o Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, and SOLIDWORKS.
o Sound knowledge of maritime software such as HMI and PLC control systems.
o Familiarity with maritime HM&E systems and naval construction processes.
o Experience with a variety of engineering processes including mechanical, electrical, and software.
o Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesPhysical Demands and Expectations:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
