Your TeamThe R&D department at Baxter's Bardy Diagnostics Ambulatory Cardiac Monitoring division is currently seeking a Senior Principal Engineer, Algorithms with an algorithmic background in ECG signal and data analysis to join the Algorithm Team at our Bellevue, WA headquarters.
This is a hybrid role that allows a flexible schedule for remote and onsite work.
The right person will have extensive demonstrable ECG and sensor algorithm research and product development experience as well as an interest in helping other group members grow.
This person will leverage their experience and industry knowledge to help set direction for the algorithm team, as well as work with and mentor other algorithm team members to become better algorithm engineers.
What You'll Be DoingWork with Algorithm team members to determine the most effective approaches for ECG arrhythmia detection and sensor algorithm research (AI and classical) for current and future BardyDx cardiac monitoring devices to best support prioritized business and clinical needs.
Conduct said AI and classical algorithm research and feasibility, advising team members and management on viable algorithmic approaches for product development.
Understand and integrate informationLead product development for productizing select ECG and sensor Algorithms, including authoring requirements, designing, implementing and testing the algorithms, and authoring other related documentation.
Help guide and mentor other team members on effective ECG and sensor algorithm development and test.
Within the strong research component, contribute to BardyDx's IP portfolio.
Advise management and team members on effective methods for curating and managing large volumes of data.
Contribute to a vibrant and collaborative team culture.
Work with other engineers to improve operational strategies and development processes.
What You'll BringPhD with 15 years' experience focused on the areas below .
Known in industry for advanced understanding of algorithms as applied to ECG monitoring solutions and products.
Demonstrated success in researching and developing algorithms for regulated ECG monitoring products and bringing them to market.
Programming Languages:
Proficiency with Python and C/C++Statistical analysis proficiency, especially as applied to ECG monitoring algorithm performance.
Strong understanding of the physiology and manifestation of cardiac arrhythmiasRecord of additional training and accumulation of expertise post-degreeTrack record of innovation, peer reviewed publications, and conference abstract submittals.
Experience with software configuration management tools/methods (e.
g.
, Azure DevOps, Git)Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills - a knack for thinking about how the parts of a system work together.
Strong oral/written communication skills - ability to write and speak clearly about technical subject matter.

The estimated base salary for this position is $144,000 to $198,000 annually.
The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position.
We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
