Qualifications:
Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) s 777-9 Engineering team is seeking Senior Engineering Manager (Level L) for the role of Deputy Chief Project Engineer to lead the integrated execution of the 777-9 certification flight test program.
This position will be located in Seattle, WA.
The selected candidate will support the Program CPE (Chief Project Engineer) leading major initiatives.
Accountable to the Chief Project Engineer and acts as CPE delegate when needed.
Works with multiple adjacent business units and stakeholders.
Ensures seamless integration of Engineering to program and core functions.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Leads a non-direct team comprising of design engineers and flight test engineers and operations subject matter experts to accomplish the seamless daily execution of the 777-9 Certification flight test campaignOn delegation authority from the CPE office, resolve technical issues ensuring safe and efficient conduct of flight testOrganizes teams (through influence) to investigate airplane squawks, provide integrated summary of technical issue and recommendation to Chief Project EngineerOrganizes teams to identify daily opportunities to reduce test scopeWorks with supply chain, BT&E and Design Engineering to ensure seamless test execution.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

years of management experience managing technical and/or engineering teams.
Experience as a senior manager.
For the purposes of this requirement, a senior manager is defined as a second-level manager or higher.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

years of demonstrated experience in leading multi-functional teams to meet customer expectations on quality and schedule.
5
years of demonstrated experience leading large scale engineering projects.
2
years of demonstrated experience possess effectively communicating and influencing decision-making by internal and external management and senior level representatives.
