Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), The Flight Management System (FMS) is seeking passionate and energetic multi-disciplinary Avionics Engineers (Experienced or Senior) to join the team in defining and building the future of flight at Everett, WA, Renton, WA and Seattle, WA.
The FMS team is looking to fill multiple openings at the associate level.
These are high visibility, high performance roles with the opportunity for rapid technical advancement and leadership development.
The Flight Management System (FMS) is a fundamental component of a modern transport airplanes.
An FMS is a specialized computer system that automates a wide variety of in-flight tasks, reducing the workload on the flight crew to the point that modern transport aircraft no longer need to carry flight engineers or navigators.
The FMS provides and/or automates Flight Planning, Datalink, Guidance, Navigation, Performance and Thrust Management functions.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced and Senior Level Avionics Engineers.
Position Overview:
As an FMS specialist, you will:
Collaborate with experienced engineers to operate and understand the FMSReview and develop FMS requirementsTest, validate, and resolve system issues/bugsInterface with engineers from various FMS functions and disciplinesWork with a global team of engineers, pilots, customers, and stakeholdersConduct testing at Boeing facilities and potentially travel domestically and internationallySupport activities such as customer visits, airshows, and flight tests, including unique locations like the Polar RegionsWe believe in hands-on learning and interaction with the FMS.
As the primary interface for cockpit systems, the FMS requires thinking like a pilot, testing in simulators and flight tests.
Starting in this area is highly emphasized, as it provides exciting career experiences that will make you passionate about being an FMS specialist.

Responsibilities:
Develop and validate hardware and software system functional and software requirementsSupport the design of hardware, software and interface specificationsTests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirementsDevelop tests to evaluate systemMonitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirementsSolves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycleResearches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needsWork Authorization:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
