Contract Specialist Lead

The Broking Support Services division of North America Broking is comprised of a dedicated team of people responsible for important components of the reinsurance business Guy Carpenter places for its clients.
Through knowledgeable contributions in the areas of formal contract writing and technical sales support such as evaluating client data and handling compliance requirements, our focus is to uplift those colleagues directly responsible for generating revenue while contributing to the positive experience of Guy Carpenter clients.
BSS is seeking candidates for the following position in the New York, NY or Seattle, WA offices.
What to expect:
As a subject matter expert in technical contract drafting, you will come to the role with strong knowledge of broad-based reinsurance placement, concepts and theory along with excellent client-facing skills.
Responsibility for contract drafting and administration on complex client account assignments in combination with responsibility for mentoring and contributing to the training of 1-3 junior colleagues, partnering with BSS Management to execute learning strategies.
We will count on you to:
Actively and continually upskill the organizational, systems and basic reinsurance expertise of junior colleagues assigned.
Perform technical and overall quality reviews of all documentation for junior colleagues assigned, mindful of GC procedures and GC and/or Client preferred clauses, protocols and frequencies.
Expertly draft and deliver contract documentation in support of reinsurance placements on assigned accounts.
Provide technical guidance to Brokers and Clients as appropriate, regarding reinsurance concepts and typical contract language application, with appropriate collaboration with Global Contract Consultants.
Recommend coverage and wording enhancements where opportunities exist and as supported by GC language standards.

What you need to have:
Bachelor s Degree10
years of experience in reinsuranceindustryAssociate in Reinsurance (ARe), Chartered Property & CasualtyUnderwriter (CPCU)Strong knowledge of and ability to appropriately apply contract provisions, reinsurance concepts and principles and familiarity with basic regulations of the region.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.
Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
