Bachelor's Degree in related Engineering field and 5
years of experience with Advanced Materials and Manufacturing programs and technologies.
Strong understanding of RD&D lifecycle (DOE experience strongly preferred) Ability to balance multiple long- and short-term projects, schedule and meeting coordination and calendar management/prioritization.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, including plain language and coordinating with PhD & Executive level stakeholders.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
US Citizen required.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience working with collaborative partners such as labs, universities, and government agencies within one or more of the following industries:
Energy Sector; oil/gas, plastics, chemical manufacturing, advanced manufacturing and materials, discrete manufacturing, battery manufacturing, etc.
Experience with CESMII and CyManII, especially the process relating to public private partnership, multi stakeholder environments, Institutes, academia, manufacturing organizations / plants (TRL process -> Basic research, Applied research, Commercialization) Day to day:
Insight Global is hiring a Project Manager/Special Assistant to support the Energy Sector's globally competitive U.

manufacturing sector that accelerates the adoption of innovative materials and manufacturing technologies in support of a clean, decarbonized economy.
The position will support the Director, Deputy Director and Chief Engineer in coordinating activities including, but not limited to, engagement with senior Government/Agency and Congressional leaders, program and operational planning and execution, support of the Office's strategic analysis efforts, analysis of industry and legislative developments on program direction, and will support efforts to drive energy, materials, and production efficiency, and decarbonization across the industrial sector.
Responsibilities will also include:
Support the Director in coordinating the Office's strategic analysis portfolio, Coordinate analysis prioritization between the Director & Deputy Director to ensure alignment with goals, Liaise with analytical groups across the Energy sector to ensure priorities are considered and apprise leadership of relevant work being performed by these groups.
This person will also:
Support the Director and Deputy Director's day-to-day organizational engagement activities, Prepare the Director and Deputy Director's nightly briefing books, Review technical content and agendas of pending Director meetings, prepare director for those meetings, and attend meetings as invited, Coordinate technical and operational issues with staff on behalf of the Director.
Candidates must be in DC area and able to regularly work from DOE-HQ.
Limited hybrid remote flexibility is available.
