Job Description
Summary:


This temporary Research Program Associate, GW Engineering position focuses on providing research program support for the GW School of Engineering and Applied Science, primarily post-award management on behalf of the research program or an initiative.
This position works closely with Principal Investigators, managing day-to-day operations through direct grant award and administrative contributions to ensure research success. This may include regular portfolio reviews, personnel effort actions, direct cost transfers, award modifications, expense approvals, and other actions.
This position may be responsible for a portfolio of up to three departments, with support as needed from a Research Grants Manager (RGM) and/or Supervisor to address issues requiring escalation.
This position maintains fiscal responsibility, as well as outreach to other GW stakeholders in order to assist in maintaining standard operational efficiencies. Candidates must be experienced in managing federal and non-federal awards, and able to perform most duties with minimal supervision.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.


Minimum
Qualifications:


Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience. Candidates will have sufficient subject matter knowledge to work under limited supervision, understand specific needs, and apply subject matter knowledge. Candidates must be proficient in MS Excel.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
