1) Advising employees on technical and administrative matters to achieve organizational operational objectives; 2) Assigning work to junior employees based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, or the capabilities of employees; 3) Conducting pre-negotiation conferences to negotiate prices, terms, conditions, contract modifications, and settlements; 4) Performing both pre-award and post-award contracting functions relating to planning, development, advertisement, award, and administration of contracts; 5) Providing guidance and mentoring junior contract specialist; 6) Interpreting and applying relevant laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures to specific contracting issues including A/E (Architect and Engineering); and 7) Reviewing and assessing contract documentation to ensure adequate pre-award and post-award contract documentation is complete, accurate and included in contract filesApplicant must meet the following Department of Defense qualification requirements for 1102 contracting positions:
