CONTRACT SPECIALIST with Security Clearance

Summary You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the Surface Systems Contracts Division, Contracts Directorate of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORTDutieso You will be responsible for the procurement of supplies, services, construction, research and development, and major systems using negotiation procedures, the evaluation of contract price proposals, and administration and close out of contracts.
o You will serve as a recognized authority to develop and implement recommendations and solutions to contract problems, risks, and outcomes in the pre-award and post-award procedures.
o You will plan and conduct the contracting process from the description of the requirements through contract delivery, requiring a knowledge of two or more contract functions.
o You will review proposed contractual actions for conformance with regulatory requirements and procurement practices.
o You will negotiate agreements through discussion with a proposed contractor on the price and performance terms, and to set forth all these terms in a procurement document.
o You will resolve disputes and other problems concerning obligations of either the Government or the contractor; and negotiates contract modifications.
o You will evaluate cost and price proposals, contract changes, repricing actions and final contract pricing.
o You will conduct or participate in negotiations on cost and/or price issuesRequirements Conditions of Employmento Must be a US Citizen.
