Boutique Washington, DC law firm has an immediate opening for a professional Receptionist.
Essential responsibilities include opening and closing the office; answering and directing telephone calls; taking and relaying accurate messages; notifying attorneys and management of unscheduled support staff absences; logging in deliveries and couriers; coordinating conference room scheduling; ordering meals for Firm-wide functions and assisting secretaries with suggestions for practice meetings; assisting with conference room setup and cleanup; coordinating maintenance work orders for building staff; coordinating carpet cleaning schedule, flower deliveries, and plant maintenance; updating health docket and distributing by email; collating weekly Cash Reports; mailing, filing, and other duties as assigned.
¬ Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience; high school diploma required (a bachelor¬ s degree is preferred); experience with telephone console or multiline telephone support; excellent communication skills; very reliable and detailed oriented; able to work independently; must have functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and experience with document management systems; flexibility for overtime as needed.¬

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
