Description:
Technology Growth Platform (TGP) offers a full range of global delivery services-from enterprise solutions, system integration, technical architectures, business intelligence, infrastructure consulting, and technology research/development.
IT Strategy Infrastructure Security (ISIS) falls within the TGP organization and provides services aimed at improving the strategic intent, transforming economics and effectiveness, and the overall design, of a company's information technology capabilities and/or functions. Information technology capabilities include IT planning and management, IT processes and approaches, and IT assets that provide the operational components necessary to run applications. Working closely with our clients, Consulting professionals design, build and implement strategies that can help enhance business performance. They develop specialized expertise in strategic, industry, functional, technical in a diverse project environment that offers multiple opportunities for career growth. While the specific type of consulting work they do can vary, it generally aligns to management consulting, systems integration consulting or technology consulting. Typically, Consultants work at client sites, which often requires travel.
Infrastructure Engineering professionals analyze, design and/or build infrastructure solutions. Network Infrastructure professionals define and develop network infrastructure solutions that enable carriers to meet growing demands for network capacity, while also delivering emerging media and services. Infrastructure Architects professionals demonstrate skills and specific experience in selecting, sizing, configuring and testing hardware infrastructure components, covering one or more of the Server, Storage and Network domains, and in estimating the required implementation effort and is looking for network architects and engineers with extensive networking experience focused on Cisco solutions. The candidate will be responsible for leading the definition and design of solution architectures for Fortune 500 firms, for conducting the analysis of alternative architectures, creating architectural standards, defining processes to ensure conformance to standards, instituting solution-testing criteria, defining a solution's cost-of-ownership, and promoting a clear and consistent business vision through technical architectures. The candidate will also be responsible for the configuration and ongoing support for the global network technology environment, performs and presents technology performance analysis, capacity planning, and proactive health checks. SME in network technology field and has expert knowledge of equipment, platforms, protocols, technologies, services, and monitoring tools.
Key Responsibilities May include:
Confers with Accenture personnel on topics related to network installation and configuration for the purpose of providing technical advice and
support and assisting in the development of policies and procedures.
Coordinates department activities, staff assignments,
computer
operations and data network activities for the purpose of providing
services to our clients and supporting organizations while meeting deal economics and objectives.
Coordinates the preparation of bid specifications for required purchases (e.g. computers, routers, software (email, firewall, backup)
and a variety of parts, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining availability of required items and completing
jobs
efficiently.
Designs computer networks, physical and logical network infrastructures, servers, etc. (e.g. Internet, Intranet, web mail, FTP
servers, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring effective and efficient operating systems.
Plans, designs and builds computer equipment, network (client and server) software and hardware on a variety of platforms (e.g. service packs,
application software, operating software, hardware upgrades, etc.) for the purpose of upgrading and maintaining equipment and
software.
Plans, designs and implements solutions to support network operations, computer hardware, and/or software applications (e.g. servers (file, print, application, WEB,
database, proxy, etc.), operating systems, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring efficient operations.
Implements capabilities for our client which across the network infrastructure (e.g. throughput, switches, patch panels, racks,
etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that resources and technology are available and utilized effectively.
Plans the installation of computers and network equipment for the purpose of meeting the technology needs of our clients.
Prepares written materials (e.g. procedures, drawings, budget requests, reports, memos, letters, etc.) for the purpose of
documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
Defines and implements processes and tools necessary to provide identification and timely
repair
of network-related failures (e.g. computers, peripherals, network equipment, configuration files, etc.) for the purpose of
maintaining computer and network equipment in a safe and functional condition.
Researches software applications and hardware requirements for the purpose of previewing products to provide recommendations
regarding applications and purchases and ensuring availability of materials.
Serves as liaison to software/hardware providers for the purpose of providing and/or gathering information and coordinating project
activities.
Trains participating district and related site staff (e.g. email, Internet access/resources, multiplatform applications, etc.) for the
purpose of providing information on the operation and maintenance of computer systems and/or providing instruction on technology
integration for our clients.
## Qualifications
Basic
Qualifications:
2 years of technical architecture design, evaluation, and analysis
2 years of Project Management experience in technology, network consulting environment developing roadmap, business propositions for technology/network change programs.
Bachelor's degree
5 years of professional experience in 3 of the following 5 areas: Client Operating Systems (e.g. Microsoft Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Linux/Unix, Directory Systems (e.g. Active Directory, LDAP), Network Technologies (e.g. Cisco, Brocade, F5, etc.), Network Protocols (IPV4, IPV5, MPLS, VPN, etc), Full Network computing life cycle experience (architecture, design, build, implementation, remote management, patch management experience related to the above)
2 years of professional experience in 2 following areas: Network transformation and optimization implementations, Thin Computing Technologies (e.g. Terminal Services, Citrix, Wyse, VMWare)
2 years of management or team lead experience
Preferred Skills:
Extensive knowledge of Cisco technologies including routing and switching platforms (e.g., ASR, Nexus, 6500, etc.), routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.), MPLS technologies, etc.
Exposure and configuration of virtualization technologies including Cisco Nexus 1000V, VMware solutions, etc.
(CCIE Certification )
Ability to communicate with client management teams, stakeholders, users and team members regardless of technical expertise.
Ability to maintain current in-depth knowledge of target network technology and seek opportunities to deploy new network technologies or process improvements that benefit the client.
Ability to create network architecture scope, definition, gaps, construction, and execution.
Ability to define the complete network infrastructure environment, review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards and guidelines.
Ability to document and communicate the status of progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary.
Ability to transfer knowledge and support technical project staff during the implementation of a solution
