Right now we are seeking a Supervisor, AML Compliance.
Your Role
The Supervisor, AML Compliance is responsible for ensuring the day to day processes of the anti-money laundering functions are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities include: o Determines whether matters should be closed without further investigation or escalated within the Compliance & Regulation Department for further evaluation and final decision-making o Reviews and approves regulatory reports and provides guidance and feedback to senior analysts o Remains informed regarding legal and regulatory developments impacting the company o Completes special projects as assigned by the Compliance Manager o Builds and maintains open communication with client relationship managers to ensure our clients receive the most efficient service possible o Provides guidance on investigations initiated on WUBS activity surfaced by monitoring reports o Review initial referrals and escalations, document investigations, conduct sufficient analysis and research to provide recommendations for risk mitigation o Recognize new/emerging patterns/typologies and respond with appropriate investigative techniques based on applied knowledge and a wide range of research/investigative techniques o Provide training and guidance to staff within the department o Supervises a number of staff positions o This position is responsible for developing and motivating staff to achieve departmental objectives
Your Skills:
o Bachelor's degree required o 4
years of relevant experience in complex retail/consumer financial services/payment services organizations with multiple financial products, or a regulatory agency or law firm involving payment services compliance issues relating to anti-money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, and related laws and regulations is preferred o 3-4 years experience in any of the following: Bank Secrecy Act, AML Compliance, general and/or risk based compliance, yielding a comprehensive understanding of technology and best practices in the compliance field o Knowledge of the global laws and regulations applicable to money laundering and, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), The USA PATRIOT Act o Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Access) including the use of pivot tables o Understanding of the Global Money Remittances Industry as it relates to anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud typologies o Strong analytical skills required, investigative experience preferred o Detail oriented, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines o Must possess well developed interpersonal skills and be able to function well within a team environment o Demonstrated initiative and creative problem solving skills o Understanding of international regulatory bodies and organizations o Ability to assess the level of risk cases presented and prioritize accordingly o Ability to work with a high level of autonomy o Strong leadership skills and a positive demeanor o Ability to work on confidential and sensitive matters with a high degree of professionalism and discretion o Experience conducting research on the Internet, utilizing such tools as LexisNexis, WorldCheck, Factiva, etc. o Ability to analyze and to interpret information critically o Ability to stay organized, prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and complete projects accurately and on time o Ability to take the initiative and to work effectively under pressure when necessary o Possesses strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills and is comfortable interacting with staff at all levels in both domestic and international offices o Ability to focus on detail while also considering the 'the big picture' o Previous experience managing people a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
