JOB INFORMATION Direct day-to-day operations for a unit engaged in preparing and reviewing monthly tax provisions, estimated taxes, and tax returns. Coordinate strategy execution. Articulate goals, allocate resources, and manage workflow. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS Lead unit in collaboration with other tax directors in preparing income tax accounting provisions, the quarterly tax reserve, and/or tax filings with sufficient documentation and referencing. Anticipate tax rule changes and assess the impact to tax systems and processes. Communicate and translate new pronouncements to enable understanding by stakeholders. Monitor and assess new business initiatives and GAAP accounting changes for impact to tax reporting, systems, and processes. Plan and manage tax's role in transforming accounting systems and processes. Manage relationships with external parties such as auditors, consultants, and the Internal Revenue Service. Report to senior management on the unit's production, activities, and efforts. Represent the unit as an expert or resource to cross-functional project or coordinating teams to support business initiatives. Plan, document, and manage the performance of subordinate managers and/or staff. Provide for professional or technical growth through assignment, mentoring, or training. Plan and manage the unit's budget. Approve expenditures or budget transfers. EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required MINIMUM EXPERIENCE 8 years of related experience SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS CPA preferred. 8 to 10 years of experience in Corporate Tax. 5 years in a leadership or management role. Knowledge of Accounting for Income Tax (ASC 740/FAS 109). Solid understanding of federal tax reporting requirements. Knowledge of tax issues affecting financial
services
companies. Proficient use of technology. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
