JOB INFORMATION Direct and plan the work of a unit responsible for the end to end integration engineering of the of firm's desktop infrastructure. Understanding of current and emerging business, industry, regulatory and technology trends / requirements needed to define, optimize and sustain an integrated architecture and technology strategy. Critical planning, oversight and control of roadmaps and integration of desktop management systems. Conduct evaluations and performance studies on current systems or feasibility studies on prospective enhancements of current systems. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS Responsible to ensure proper alignment and integration for all desktop application technologies. Define, govern, optimize and sustain the desktop application delivery standards, frameworks, technology strategy, architecture and product roadmaps, Define, develop business cases and successfully influence positive outcomes regarding strategic technology investments Provide expert technical guidance across business / technology partners to ensure project success in alignment with desktop engineering standards / strategies and architecture with an emphasis on quality excellence Plan additions, upgrades, and conversions of desktop applications and to assess effects of these projects on the overall desktop infrastructure Represent the unit as an expert or resource to cross-functional project or coordinating teams and report to senior management on the unit's production, activities, and efforts. Plan, document, and manage the performance of subordinate managers and/or staff. Conduct talent management activities including mentoring, training, or providing technical growth opportunities. EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required MINIMUM EXPERIENCE 8 years of related experience SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS Proven hands on experience and in depth domain expertise across all desktop engineering / architecture disciplines including but not limited to windows desktop application packaging, application virtualization technologies, Microsoft Office including Office 365, and web based application technology. Demonstrated experience defining and implementing Technology Strategies, Roadmap, Standards and Frameworks. Exceptional experience influencing collaborating and negotiating positive outcomes across stakeholders in highly matrixed organization Progressive, forward thinking self starter mindset with a can-do attitude in driving engineering excellence and implementing large scale technology transformations Exceptional leadership skills required with a proven track record leading through change, execution, developing and building high performing organizations MCSE, ITIL, PMP, CMMI, and security certifications preferred EMPLOYMENT As a condition of employment with Fannie Mae, any successful job applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and to successfully complete a background investigation, which may also include a credit check for positions in some areas of our business. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
