Communicate these policies to pertinent business units and evaluate their compliance with the policies. Accumulate data indicating success of policies and degrees of compliance and report to senior management. May analyze corporate or industry wide
practices
in order to assess current policies and develop new policies consistent with best practice and current market conditions. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS Serve as point of contact with all levels of assigned business unit(s), especially those related to MBS disclosures. Field questions and concerns, provide guidance and/or approvals, communicate policies and procedures, ensuring issue resolution. Manage data integrity efforts and disclosure enhancement initiatives in assigned business unit(s). Take lead on strategic disclosure initiatives, including developing comprehensive solutions, drafting business requirements and procedures, reporting metrics and or status. May require presentation to and sign-off from senior management Develop both regular and ad hoc reports to monitor business unit credit trends, and analyze reports to identify key issues. Distribute reports to appropriate audiences, or summarize findings for inclusion in other reports/presentations. Develop and present positions, recommendation, and metrics for senior management. Evaluate and formulate policy for MBS disclosures Back test Loss Forecast Model and help assemble other back testing results for further analysis/ review. Prepare other presentations and additional side projects related to the Loss Forecast Model EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required MINIMUM EXPERIENCE 4 years of related experience, prefer at least 6 years SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS Risk management experience in a financial
services
company or related consulting experience Previous experience with documenting a Model Risk Management framework in compliance with OCC Bulletin 2011-12 Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management frameworks, with exposure to various risk categories preferred Previous experience with documenting Model Risk Management Policies, Standards and Procedures in compliance with OCC Bulletin 2011-12 Strong communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to present to senior management Extremely strong writing skills Extremely proficient use of Word, Adobe, SharePoint, Excel Inter-personal skills conducive to teamwork is required Demonstrated ability to show innovation and creativity in solving problems of a complex nature A strong ability to plan, implement and complete individual and team projects A strong sense of urgency about solving problems, meeting challenging deadlines and achieving goals with a high degree of accountability Strong research and analytical skills - ability to assess changes to existing model risk policies and clearly communicate Prior Fannie Mae experience advantageous EMPLOYMENT As a condition of employment with Fannie Mae, any successful job applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and to successfully complete a background investigation, which may also include a credit check for positions in some areas of our business.
