JOB INFORMATION As the Project Management Center of Excellence Leader, operate with considerable latitude engaging project teams and stakeholders across the Enterprise in order to influence their use and application of corporate methodology and best practices leading to successful project outcomes. Engage with project delivery teams as a trusted advisor assisting them with the practical application of the Fannie Mae Project Management Methodology. Establish and operate a Center of Excellence for Project Managers across the enterprise enabling knowledge sharing, capturing and leveraging of lessons learned and the continuous improvement of the methodology assets. Provide value-added expertise in developing new concepts, techniques, and standards across multiple business units and initiatives. Position requires strong judgment and influencing, communication and negotiating skills. Operate cross-functionally at all levels within the organization. Candidate functions in a lead role by providing project management and Enterprise governance guidance and direction to colleagues/clients in area(s) of expertise. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS Ability to explain the benefits of the application of PM methodology and best practice to all levels of the organization with an emphasis on project team members. Coordinate the PM CoE activities and operations with other EPMO teams including the Business Requirements CoE, Planning and Alignment, Governance and Execution, Change Management and Metrics and Reporting teams. Establish a CoE strategic plan with a focus on the key PM knowledge areas within the methodology that require enhancement or need to be reemphasized in order to improve adoption rates. Proactively identify and resolve time sensitive project issues, interdependencies, and conflicts, both within and across business units and initiatives and coordinate implementation. Use strong relationship management and communication skills to ensure outcomes align with overall program goals and objectives. Create and implement and document common procedures and practices that can be applied cross-functionally, ensuring adherence to corporate and business unit standards. Ensure stakeholders find value and understand procedures and practices and have the tools to comply. Provide expert advice and interpretation of corporate governance activities including, policies, procedures and Delegations of Authority. EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required Advanced degree highly preferred MINIMUM EXPERIENCE 6 years of related experience SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS Leverage strong understanding of PMBOK principles to drive best in class project delivery for a portfolio of projects/program including major corporate strategic initiatives. Apply a strong understanding of program/project schedule dependencies in order to manage divisional project portfolio. Strong relationship management and communication skills to ensure program/project outcomes align with overall program goals and objectives.
