POSITION OVERVIEW
:

Provides expertise and technical assistance to senior operational management for the implementation of the company safety policy by establishing and managing a safety program that meets or exceeds all current standards. Represents the company in all safety matters pertaining to internal and external activities. Receives assignments in terms of broad objectives from the Corporate Safety Director. Reviews, interprets and provides assistance on safety regulations and standards. Monitors company safety performance and conducts project audits and safety inspections.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Qualified Safety Officer shall be responsible for the supervision of the project safety requirements including the administration of the Site Safety and Health Plan. The Safety Officer(s) shall be at the Construction Staging Area every day that Work is in progress. The Safety Officer(s) shall maintain and keep available safety records and up-to-date copies of all pertinent safety rules and regulations; and to maintain adequate supplies of safety equipment.
As a minimum, the Safety Officer shall be trained in accident prevention and certified as a First Responder in accordance with the U.S. Department of Transportation First Responder National Standard Curriculum. The Safety Officer shall also be a certified as a
Construction Health and Safety Technician
by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals
and be experienced in heavy construction and tunneling
. Further, the Safety Officer shall be completely familiar with all applicable health and safety requirements of all governing legislation, and ensure compliance with same.

Qualifications
PREFERRED EDUCATION/
Experience:

4-year degree in Construction or related field (or equivalent experience) and 10-15 years of related work experience in the field of Health and Safety, including some supervisory experience.

Certified CHST required.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
:

Requires extensive knowledge of Federal and state health and safety regulations and reporting procedures, as well as strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to perform in a supervisory/managerial capacity is also required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
