Robert Half Legal is seeking an Assistant/Associate General Counsel (depending on experience) to provide assistance on matters related to the provision of health care including operations, patient care, and contracts, as well as state and federal statutory and regulatory compliance matters, particularly Medicaid and Medicare regulations. Under the direction and supervision of the General Counsel, the essential duties and responsibilities of the incumbent include, but are not limited to the following: - Conduct legal research and prepare related memoranda. - Analyze contracts and agreements, including managed care contracts, for legal sufficiency under federal and local laws, rules and regulations. - Draft, analyze and negotiate for subsequent approval by the General Counsel and applicable staff, documents such as contracts, information requests, pleadings, opinions and advisory memoranda. - Provide litigation support to the Office, including working with outside counsel and internal staff on gathering and analyzing information for discovery. - Analyze and provide recommendations to the General Counsel,
executive
management and/or their designees on a wide range of regulatory, governmental, contractual, legislative, and operational matters, including those related to corporate governance, compliance, patients and medical staff. The incumbent shall demonstrate the ability to: - Work independently while managing up. - Maintain strict confidentiality. - Plan, direct and conduct independent legal research and related analyses on a variety of health law, government, and corporate governance issues. - Plan, direct, and conduct fact-finding investigations and to develop related recommendations. - Prepare and review contractual documents and provide legal advice with respect to business transactions. - Communicate and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. - Work productively in fast paced environments, to adhere to and to enforce deadlines and to project the need for and effectuate positive team efforts. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
