Remote Access Services
1. A. The Purchaser VPN
For staff connected to the Internet with a private (non-the Purchaser) or ED5 workstation or laptop, the Purchaser VPN (Virtual Private Network) service provides full access to the internal network, while maintaining security and reducing cost. This service provides the same access as connecting to the Purchaser''s network via Fiberlink''s existing Internet connection option. The current VPN vendor is Juniper Networks. The password for this account is a combination of the token from the hardware and a pin.
1. B. Citrix
Citrix Connectivity enables Authorized Users to access all the Purchaser applications on the Intranet, including, but not limited to, SAP, Lotus Notes, network drives and files, and internal Web applications.
1. C. Fiberlink e360
Fiberlink 3e60 is a Global Internet Service Provider (ISP), which provides access to the Internet for the entire United States and 150 countries internationally. The Purchaser has a corporate account agreement with Fiberlink that allows staff to access the Purchaser''s Intranet via the Fiberlink network. Using local Fiberlink dial numbers, Authorized Users can connect to the Internet, the Purchaser''s Intranet and network applications. Staff can access all the Purchaser applications on the Intranet, including, but not limited to, SAP, Lotus Notes, network drives and files, and internal Web applications.
Scope prior to 'Federated Contract':
3.1 Remote Access.
The responsibilities of the CIBER HD with regards to Remote Access are as follows:
Resynchronize RSA SecureIDs for remote access users
Reset SecureID PINs and set up temporary passwords for lost or forgotten SecureIDs
Perform weekly Dial Manager administration for new IFC Dial Manager, obtaining new files from Sita and AT&T; adding to our server; manually updating or adding any IFC locations
Create documentation for RAS and PDA related applications and devices (AT&T; Dialer, IFC Dial Manager, Handheld Guidelines, setup/configuration instructions, etc.)
Perform RAS check on laptops and Palm devices in preparation for user's travel
Provide full support for Citrix
Backup to the Mobile Services analyst
Dispatch related calls as appropriate
3.2 Network Services.
The responsibilities of the CIBER HD with regards to Network Services are as follows:
The Desktop operating system - Windows 2000 and XP
The IFC's Standard Desktops ED3 and ED4
The IFC's Home images in Windows 2000
Provide support for connectivity regarding WAN connections with IBRD, MCI, Sprint and SITA, and pass on problems to the appropriate 3rd Tier specialist.
Citrix
Provide support for Printers, Scanners, and Digital Senders
Provide Wireless support
Dispatch related calls as appropriate
