This important role answers calls from in-house guest in a timely and professional manner and provides guests with information on hotel facilities and services, local directions, and emergency, safety, and security procedures.
The _ Rooms_ _Specialist_ will work as assigned in any of several areas in the Front Office department. In _Instant Service_ when operating the hotels phone lines, at the front desk or any other position,the specialist is expected to answer requests from both in-house guests and outside callers in a timely and professional manner and in accordance with established scripts and standards, and in a way that reflects well on the hotel and brand, and handle all guests requests for service to include engineering, housekeeping and room service requests/orders, then follow up to ensure satisfactory completion of the request or order and ensure requests are accurately closed in the system and orders are accurately posted to the appropriate guest account.At the _Front Desk,_ the specialist is expected to check in and out hotel guests in a timely and professional manner,welcome and assist VIP guests in accordance with Brand Standards and provide other services as necessary. __
Ability to input and access data in telephone system. Ability to remain in stationary position for extended periods of time with limited movement. Ability to provide clear and pleasant telephone communication.Ability to ascertain caller's needs and comply with such to ensure caller's satisfactions. Ability to process incoming/outgoing calls within minutes. Ability to monitor and follow up on all switchboard calls. Ability to be a clear thinker who can remain calm in an emergency situation.
Requirements include basic reading and writing plus six months experience as a phone/switchboard operator. You may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
