The Society for Neuroscience (SfN) is searching for a Communications Assistant to work closely with the Digital Communications Manager, as well as other members of the Media & Member Communications Department, to support efforts and implement strategy to develop, maintain and improve member communications. The Assistant will:
Implement messaging in email and other outreach campaigns, adjusting HTML as needed in email client and ensuring timely delivery.
Support social media messaging and strategy.
Assist with statistical reporting and analysis, highlighting key developments to inform strategy.
Assist with content generation for member communications vehicles, including web site content, for member audience.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, or related field with at least 1 year of related experience preferred. Candidates should also have:
The ability to deliver high quality, accurate work while maintaining and enhancing existing standards in a fast-paced environment.
A thoughtful, persevering, self-disciplined approach to work.
A demonstrated ability to communicate on a business level while working collaboratively to satisfy internal and external customers.
Advanced skill with the Microsoft Office Suite is required
Experience working with email delivery software and tools, including some understanding of HTML.
