The EOP has responsibility for tasks ranging from communicating the President's message to the American people to promoting our trade interests abroad. The EOP comprises the White House, Executive Residence, Office of the Vice President, Office of the United States Trade Representatives, Office of Science and Technology Policy, Office of National Drug Control Policy, Office of Management and Budget, National Security Council, Council on Environmental Quality, Council of Economic Advisers, and the Office of Administration. Incumbent serves as Director, Operations & Engineering (O&E;) Division providing leadership, vision and management to the O&E; Division including developing, maintaining, and deploying the implementation of a sound technology infrastructure program. The incumbent also oversees the development of enterprise standards, technology evaluation and transfer, as well as the IT governance process. The Office of the Chief Information Officer is a dynamic and fast-paced 24x7 environment that supports unclassified enterprise IT needs of the Executive Office of the President.

Incumbent has overall responsibility for information technology operations to include but, not limited to network operations and management functions; application development and administration; systems and software engineering; data center operations; and managing the programming, telecommunications; and support for the enterprise's operation systems.
Defines and implements an operations & engineering strategy, in coordination with the engineering team, across the EOP unclassified network.
The O&E; Director is accountable for efficient and effective IT operations, engineering, and telecommunications that drive the technical aspects of strategic decisions for the IT enterprise.
Proactively reviews and conducts assessments and trending of innovative new technologies to assist the senior staff members of the EOP with meeting the mission and goals.
Serves as OCIO's Telecommunications, Operations & Engineering liaison to internal and external entities ensuring EOP customers and partners understand and comply with the OCIO's mission.
Exercises supervisory personnel management through subordinate supervisors, who supervise technical and support employees in grades GS-12 through GS-14.

Experience: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the next lower grade or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Examples of specialized experience are:
For the GS-15: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector performing the following: experience in the development, management, operation and maintenance of an organization's network systems and infrastructure to support business operations; coordinating with various staff and experts to accomplish the management of information technology hardware and software; demonstrated knowledge of data communication concepts, principles and practices, transmission media and protocols and LAN/WAN technology; supervising a physically disbursed staff of employees (consisting of Government and contractor personnel) involved in the operations of the agency's network; serving as an advisor to senior IT staff (e.g. providing input via analysis and recommendations for consideration in determining the technology to be used in an agency's existing and future network systems and information infrastructure); coordinating and managing complex information technology projects.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
