In this position, you will serve as the senior Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) for the NAVSEA enterprise. You will serve as the Authorizing Official's Designated Representative (AODR) technical lead for assessment of cyber security engineering efforts for NAVSEA Research, Development, Test and Devaluation (RDT&E;), and Platform IT (PIT) systems. This position is within the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division organizational structure, but is physically located at the Washington Navy Yard, Washington, D.C.
You must be a US Citizen. Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal & Regulatory Guidance. Suitable for Federal employment as determined by background investigation. Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period. This position is a drug-testing designated position (TDP). You must obtain and maintain a security clearance. As an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), your duties may include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in the design, development, and implementation of programs and applications to ensure compliance and consistent implementation of Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Navy (DoN) Information Assurance policies throughout the NAVSEA Enterprise;
Overseeing the identification of program and management issues that evolve from planning processes and focuses on substantial resources, long-range impact and politically sensitive concerns;
Conducting studies, analysis or research to develop recommendations for higher level decision makers;
Applying knowledge of IT security theory and concepts, practices, methods, tools, environments and emerging issues;
Applying lifecycle management concepts; quality assurance principles and technical documentation methods.
Providing Information Systems Security Engineering guidance to NAVSEA activities and Program Executive Offices (PEOs).
Overseeing the validation of NAVSEA IT systems to include procedures to confirm or establish by testing, evaluation, examination, investigation or competent evidence that an informations system's assigned IA controls are engineered and implemented correctly and are effective for their application.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Information Technology (IT) work reviewing certification and accreditation packages for Information Assurance (IA)/Cyber Security programs to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks and data.
Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
