Continuity of Operations (COOP) Subject Matter Expert
Experience with COOP Architecture.
Experience with the COOP real world capabilities as well as Exercise objectives for testing COOP locations and capabilities.
Understanding and having a working knowledge of the COOP owned equipment and the requirements for a fully operational Ops Center
Aware of the support required for each COOP Exercise.
In-depth experience in planning, programming, and managing networks, systems, and operations centers at strategic levels in an Operational Center environment.
Aware of the DR Process and the approvals required to established connectivity to a COOP site.
Must be able to interface and communicate with Senior Leadership.
POSITION
Summary:
With a wide range of COOP skills, evaluates, designs, documents, installs, implements, tests, performs problem isolation and resolution, monitors, tunes, and sets standards for COOP real world and exercises
Works with other COOP Managers and network professionals as directed to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes in order to have a demonstrated COOP Capability.
Responsibilities:
Provides client consulting and training on the interfacing and use of the network facilities.
Plans and coordinates COOP computer network initiatives.
Researches, evaluates, and recommends new COOP technologies.
Collaborates with other technical staff and management in the testing of new COOP software and network technologies.
Devises solutions to operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed COOP Systems.
Maintains timely and complete documentation of all daily and project work, using standard methods and procedures.
Provides internal consulting, technical guidance, information and support to application developers, computer operations, workstation support, company management and departmental clients.
Keeps abreast of relevant COOP technologies and maintains selected technical certifications.
May review the work of others and be able to detect errors or needed modifications.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
Typically requires bachelor's degree in or equivalent and 9
years of related experience.
