About One Day's Wages
One Day's Wages (ODW) is a grassroots movement of people, stories, and actions to alleviate extreme global poverty. The numbers are staggering, but absolutely real: 25,000 children under the age of five die each day due to poverty related causes, nearly 900 million people do not have access to clean water, Almost one billion people entered the twenty-first century unable to read a book or sign their names. The good news is there are already individuals and organizations working to alleviate extreme poverty. We're not reinventing the wheel, but rather collaborating and partnering with others. We are joining in the fight! ODW promotes awareness, invites simple giving, and supports sustainable relief through partnerships, especially with smaller organizations in developing regions. We believe technology
relationships can engage millions of ordinary people in the fight against global poverty. Since 2009, One Day's Wages has raised nearly $2.5 million dollars from everyday donors and 100% (minus credit card fees) of that goes directly to projects on the ground, making a difference.
