Position Overview: The Manager of Game Presentation will serve as the game day floor manager for the Washington Mystics and Washington Valor, overseeing the planning, scheduling, and execution of fan experience activations before, during, and after all Mystics and Valor home games.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate as the game day script director and main point of contact on the production headset.
  • Script, manage and execute the run-of-show for the fan-experience at all Washington Mystics and Washington Valor home games.
  • Develop and execute game day scripts and public address announcements for in-game use.
  • Work with sponsorship, marketing, and ticket sales departments to fulfill all contractual obligations.
  • Responsible for distributing and fielding all requests for Game Ops game day credentials.
  • Assist in all off-season activities, which include but are not limited to, coordinating the Mystics and Valor entertainment teams, in-arena hosts, and game day staff and vendors.
  • Work with marketing and branding teams to develop, create and deploy season and game marketing campaigns, including theme nights, in-arena events, and fan giveaways.
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with Game Presentation, Building Operations, Tech Support, and Production teams to facilitate and execute day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Field incoming phone calls and emails regarding requests for National Anthem and halftime performances.
  • Manage inquires, bookings, scheduling team mascots, entertainment teams, game day crews, and game day vendors, ensuring that they are updated and informed of their responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree.
  • 1-3+ years of Game Presentation or Special Events experience.
  • Strong understanding of sports and entertainment industries.
  • Confident and assertive personality, able to think quickly and confidently.
  • A creative self-starter, who is able to work independently and maintain a positive, energetic demeanor.
  • Comfortable creating and managing key relationships with team members, talent, and all fans.
  • Proven ability to multitask multiple projects and execute deadlines successfully in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess excellent, interpersonal and professional communication skills, including written and oral correspondence.
  • Ability to collaborate on projects with multiple departments.
  • Comfortable presenting and selling in new ideas, concepts to marketing, sales and operations teams.
  • Comfortable working frequently offsite at team sponsored events around the Washington, D.C. metro area.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings, including weekends and holidays.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
