Job Description
For this virtual, part-time role we are seeking a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) combined with an active, unencumbered RN license in a compact state or willingness to obtain one from Iowa.
All successful candidates will possess the above listed requirements in addition to be certified and practicing as either a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or an Adult-Gerontology (AGNP) Nurse Practitioner. Currently practicing in an outpatient primary care role, seeing patients across the age span, both genders, for acute and chronic disease management and health promotion.
Kaplan University offers part-time, term by term, non-tenured teaching appointments to qualified individuals who are dedicated to providing quality educational experiences to students in Associates, Bachelors and Master's degree programs. Key Job Responsibilities will include:
synchronous and asynchronous instruction and seminars; management of discussion boards and engaging students in relevant discussion; student interaction and outreach; partnering with advisors and leadership on student concerns, resolution and outcomes; holding virtual office hours; and involvement in university service and professional development.
Minimum Qualifications will include:
Master's degree in Nursing (MSN); an active, unencumbered RN license in a compact state or willingness to obtain one from Iowa; certified and practicing as either a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) oran Adult-Gerontology (AGNP) Nurse Practitioner. Exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite, Google and Adobe Connect meeting technology; experience with education software like eCollege and/or Blackboard is preferred.
