Staff Scientist II

This particular Staff Scientist position is an intermediate scientific position that reports to the Clinical Director of Molecular Genetics, which is a department of the clinical laboratory. Candidate should be knowledgeable in CMA and NGS testing and proficient in variant analysis. Candidate will work closely will other members of the Molecular Genetics lab team to ensure data analysis is accomplished on time and accurately, as well as troubleshoot any problems. PhD preferred but not required. Consideration for enrollment in ABMGG accredited training program dependent upon candidate's skill set and knowledge.

Specific Requirements and Preferences
Must be proficient in NGS analysis. Must be knowledgeable in CMA and NGS testing.

Experience must demonstrate that the applicant acquired the scientific knowledge, skills, and abilities to apply and utilize them successfully in independent health or health-related work appropriate to the position. Knowledge of CMA and NGS testing.

Assist in developing publications for peer-reviewed, scientific, quality and management journals.

Supervise and monitor the work of junior staff to ensure that correct procedures are followed; provide direction to assure completion of technical tasks and projects.
