Program Specialist (Center for Women Veterans)

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by closing date of this announcement. To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-13) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves:
1) analyzing, reviewing, and evaluating potential partnerships, programs, projects, and activities for women programs; 2) leveraging external resources to improve productivity and efficiency across the organization; 3) Utilizing project management methods and techniques; 4) Communicating outreach plans to key internal and external audiences on a national level; 5) managing logistics, events, meetings and travel plans. Note:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience you document, to include volunteer experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
