Information Technology Specialist

Applicants applying for the GS-12 grade level must meet the following requirements:
Have IT-related experience demonstrating EACH of the four competencies AND specialized experience listed below:
Attention to Detail - ability to evaluate and analyze complex telecommunications and IT services within a specialized multifaceted nationwide telecommunications systems program with international connectivity. Customer Service - ability to provide service to customers at all levels in order to monitor and react to constantly changing needs inherent in a complex domestic system with global telecommunication access. Oral Communication - ability to communicate effectively based on the audience's ability to comprehend the information. Problem Solving - ability to decipher, analyze and identify solutions to complex and time-sensitive operational problems. AND Have at least 1 full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience serving as a liaison between organizational units and their senior management. Experience providing customer service staff with guidance and the escalation avenue for issues that enhance the customer service experience and enable more expedient resolutions to complaints and delayed services. Experience monitoring the progress of work on day-to-day operations and maintenance projects. Experience overseeing the work of staff engaged in design, installation, and construction of communications facilities. Experience conducting program evaluations and analysis. NOTE:
In order to qualify for this position, your experience MUST be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
