Junior Acquisition Analyst

OBXtek is currently staffing for a Junior Analyst - Business and Financial Operations Support at DHS - Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO)The Junior Analyst - Business and Financial Operations Support shall assist the Senior Analysts with support of DHS-OCHCO program personnel and assist with the development and implementation of acquisition strategies for programs and procurements of various sizes and complexities.
Such support will include:
Assistance with acquisition-planning Defining, developing and refining program requirements and acquisition strategies for all OCHCO procurements Assisting the Business Operations Team in developing and implementing program outreach strategies; Preparing and reviewing relevant acquisition documents as prescribed by Federal and DHS acquisition/procurement policies and regulations including:
Statements of Work, Acquisition Plans, Independent Government Cost Estimates, Analysis of Alternatives, Determination of Findings, and Determination Assessments.
Maintaining management tools including:
Unfunded Priorities Lists, Prospective Vendors Point of Contact Lists, and Vendor Capabilities Libraries.
Assist with development of document templates Assist with development and implementation of standardized acquisition and procurement templates and briefings, standard operating procedures, best practices, and acquisition training initiatives.
Assist with maintaining Purchase Request tracking log, maintaining shared-drive libraries, and SharePoint site.
Prepare and maintain status reports, dashboards, and databases.
Assist with budget closeout production Review current and projected financial/budget information and assess impact on organization Assist with preparing, managing, executing financial and budget plans Research and analyze budget related matters Provide operational and administrative support Assist with developing training materials and conducting periodic budget training Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures and other budget and finance continuity documentation Support the preparation and review of business cases, budgeting, cost estimation and modeling, cost monitoring, cost-reduction strategies, and other financial consulting services Assist in preparing and delivering monthly budget execution status of funds reports Provide weekly budget summaries regarding OCHCO taskers and other budget-related activities Assist in the preparation of the Executive Report summary summarizing task status and completion, and maintain task-tracking binder Assist in providing corporate-level information reports on financial and contractual resources Assist OCHCO Budget working groups to foster communication between Divisions and external components Must be able to obtain a DHS SuitabilityThe Junior Acquisition Analyst shall have a minimum of 3 years of
Experience:
Supporting senior staff and officers at a government agency Task tracking, meeting deadlines with accurate and complete products.
Tracking correspondence, ensuring deadlines are met, communicating follow-up actions with task owner, and drafting responses to taskers as required.
Copy-editing.
Preparing, editing, maintaining reports, templates, and plans especially those related to contracts, budgets, and procurements Coordinating and following-up on project deadlines with task owners.
Research and analysis Maintaining databases and dashboards Maintaining SharePoint sites.
Writing and editing.
Preparing and conducting training Collaborating with working groups to foster communications.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
