We have a promotional opportunity for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Lead.
The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Lead is responsible for providing leadership for the recruitment, growth, and development of the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) group across UWMC.
In collaboration with the Medical Service Director, Neonatal Nurse Manager, and Director of Advanced Practice Nursing/Chief ARNP for UW Medical Center, the NNP Lead actively supports programs and services that promote the long-range strategic objectives of UW Medicine and University of Washington Montlake and Northwest Campuses.
The NNP Lead helps in creating a robust professional practice environment for the NNP/Hospitalist team while ensuring accountability for the quality of advanced practice clinical services and adherence to Medical Center and Divisional policies and procedures.
The position will report directly to the Neonatal Nurse Manager and Medical Service Chief with indirect reporting to the Director of Advanced Practice Nursing/Chief ARNP.
Job Duties & Performance Standards Leadership Creates a professional practice environment for the advancement of NNPs and role models effective leadership.
Promotes organizational philosophy of Patients are First and continuous performance improvement.
Establish goals and appropriate action plans to provide direction for the NNPs and all members of the interdisciplinary team.
Identify opportunities for improvement and collaborates with NNPs/administration to effect conflict resolution.
Participate as a key member of the interdisciplinary team to implement collaborative best practices and use of the Evidence-Based Leadership approach to improve patient care outcomes.
Maintain clinical practice to ensure optimal leadership.
Patient Care Management Maintain scope of practice knowledge related to patient care and standards for NNPs.
Collaborate with Physician and UWMC leadership to implement systems to effectively manage high census and acuity of NNP services.
Evaluate quality metrics through participation in the development of service specific quality indicators and process improvement focused on patient and team satisfaction, quality, safety, and fiscal responsibility.
Human Resources Management Serve as a resource, liaison, advocate, and mentor to develop NNP teams.
Provide supervisory role for a sub-set of NNPs.
In collaboration with the service chief, department manager and department administrator assists with recruitment and the hiring of NNP staff, initial competency assessment, plans of appropriate orientation, and annual evaluation for NNPs.
Provide informal/formal performance feedback and develops performance improvement plans as necessary.
Serve as a resource with regard to regulatory compliance with regulatory agencies, credentialing, privileges, documentation, and billing.
Financial Management Assist with resource management to effectively cover patient care needs.
Function within Patient Care Service/UWMC and Medical Staff policies, procedures and guidelines.
Participate in writing, reviewing, and revising department/service policies and procedures and ensure consistent application.
Other Perform related duties as required Position is 90-100% variable shifts.
Requirements.
For UWMC NNPs Only.
? Current and valid State licensure as an ARNP and Graduate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program ? Nationally Certified ARNP with DEA ? Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment ? Effective interpersonal, leadership, and critical thinking skills, as well as clinical expertise in patient care ? Experience as an NNP of 3-5 years preferred ? Experience implementing comprehensive evidence based practice guidelines preferred ? Experience in the supervision of NNPs including initial and ongoing competency assessment, orientation, professional development, and annual evaluation preferred ? Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing ? Strong writing and presentation skills ? Basic computer knowledge and command of basic personal computer skills REQUIREMENTS:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
