IT Project Manager
Job Description Job Title IT Project Manager Job Location Washington DC Clearance Requirement NACI Our client is seeking a diverse and multi-talented IT project manager to lead a team for a civilian government client.
This candidate will be responsible for the summary lead development and implementation of complex information technology projects to solve problems that may have wide impact, requiring high levels of functional integration and involving multiple disciplines to be managed.
The ideal candidate should have a prior hands-on IT technical experience, good understanding of the IT systems development lifecycle, change management, knowledge management, process re-engineering, and possess excellent leadership, customer relationship and communication skills.
This position will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of the multiple IT projects and direct interaction with client project managers and leadership.
Responsibilities Perform the full range of the project management lifecycle discovery initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing Develop detailed plans, schedule, project estimate, and resource plan Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables Provide technical and analytical guidance to project team Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solution of problems revise, as appropriate, to meet changing needs and requirements Evaluate and assess metrics and project effectiveness Ensure accurate and timely reporting prepare specialized and ad hoc reports Absorb and leverage project related technology to ensure effective project management and collaboration Leverage SRT and Leadership Team for decision-making, change management, and communications Provide training (as needed) Apply IT technical standards and best practices Qualifications Demonstrated cross-functional project management experience Experience working with project management methodologies such as Agile including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices Experience working with quality management approaches and techniques experience working with delivery assurance policies, procedures, and to ensure compliance Experience working with productivity and methodology tools that increase project efficiency and effectiveness Experience working with administrative processes Experience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success Factors Experience working with delivery assurance principles and appropriate procedures Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software and equipment Knowledge of advanced IT project management principles (eg Agile) and software Demonstrated team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor Attitude that supports an Agile working environment Preferred Federal government experience PMP or other relevant certification and experience preferred, eg, Scrum MasterPandoLogic.
