Business Development and Capture activities for the ECWork with the Business Development, Estimating and Operations teams to grow the new business pipeline with focus on the DC, VA, MD markets with federal and defense customersResponsible for leading the end to end business development function account management, pipeline development, capture and proposalDevelopment and implementation of a Capture Plan encompassing Win Strategy, Price to WinResponsible for creating and leading customer engagements, mission analyses, and new business initiatives to include analyzing customer relationship management strategy and engage senior mgmt in contact activitySupport the strategic planning process, with specific focus on achieving the strategy through new business growthAccountable for internal discretionary budgets aimed at creating and shaping significate new business opportunitiesCoordinate and balance business development activities for strategic, competitive, and follow-on opportunities to achieve overall financial planDevelop and master a comprehensive understanding of our broad capabilities and past performance to be able to speak to and promote all BSNC industry offeringsWork with OMs, PMs, Executives and BD on promoting BSNC wherever opportunities developQUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.

Required (Minimum) QualificationsBachelor s degreeMinimum of five (8) years of experience in Business Development specifically with the Federal Government and DoDBackground in government acquisitions and requirements processSuccessful past performance developing customer relationships, account strategies, developing a qualified pipeline, building industry relationships, and leading capture and proposal activitiesKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Knowledge of federal/civil as well as defense services marketplacesExperience managing a BD acquisition planStrong senior level government contactsProven ability to brief senior government and industry leadersAbility to work across multiple industries with a working level knowledge of eachAbility to work within a team on proposal development, estimating, etc.
Proposal management and technical proposal writingPreferred Active Secret Clearance or ability to achieve clearanceKnowledge of international business growthPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Not currently a requirement but may hire and supervise direct reports in the future based on program size.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base.
Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
