Overview Open & closing dates Opening and closing dates08/28/2020 to 09/21/2020 Service Competitive Pay scale & grade GS 13 Salary $102,663 to $133,465 per year Appointment type Permanent Work schedule Full-Time Duties SummaryThis position is located in the Financial Disclosure Division, Office of the Legal Adviser for Ethics and Financial Disclosure (L/EFD).
The incumbent will be responsible for managing the Office's ethics review for all Presidentially Appointed and Senate confirmed candidates for the Department and will personally review financial disclosure reports and assist with the management of the financial disclosure program.
ResponsibilitiesOversees and manages the ethics vetting for Presidential-nominated and Senate-confirmed candidates.
Serves as a subject matter expert on federal ethics rules, nominee ethics vetting process, and financial disclosure processes to provide guidance to employees.
Conveys the US Office of Government Ethics policies and legal requirements relevant to completion of nominee financial disclosure reports and resolutions of conflicts.
Reviews financial disclosure reports to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Acts as a resource for other financial disclosure staff and assists in compiling information and preparing required reports on the Department's ethics program.
Travel RequiredOccasional travel - Domestic and/or overseas travel may be required.

Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements, by the closing date of this announcement.
Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience identifying and resolving issues with complex financial disclosure reviews in accordance with laws, policies, regulations and precedents.
Experience vetting nominee's financial disclosure forms for ethics compliance.
Experience identifying conflict of interests within financial disclosure reports.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.

Qualified candidates are assigned a score between 70 and 100.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
