Overview Come work with a great team! Diamond Healthcare manages the behavioral health services for Medstar Washington Hospital Center (MWHC) and has the following full time opening:
The Evening Nurse Manager directs, supervises and provides holistic, culturally competent, quality and cost-effective evidence-based nursing care for patients.
This person supports and assists the Senior Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and will assume responsibility of the nursing department in their absence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Supports a patient first culture that fosters a high level of patient satisfaction as demonstrated by outcomes.
Collaborates with Senior DON to hire, promote, coach and issue corrective action (s) as needed.
Establishes, develops and maintains effective relationships, working agreements and quality partnerships across the continuum to ensure quality patient care.
Ensures compliance with policies and procedures and nursing standards, per regulatory agencies.
Maintains communication with the Staff and Medical Director or their designee for the purpose of coordinating operations within the department.
Conducts performance evaluations.
Assumes on-call responsibility, ratio to be determined.
Maintains continuing education files, competency assessment documentation, licensure and hospital certifications.
Works collaboratively with the Senior DON to seek and utilize information (including research findings) to develop, implement and manage a budget which supports organizational objectives, patient care standards and quality of care.
Demonstrates fiscal responsibility with day-to-day unit productivity and unit operations.
Supports and promotes quality and patient safety initiatives.
Collaborates with physicians and staff to monitor and analyze departmental performance data and identifies and participates in hospital performance improvement initiatives including, but not limited to, core measures, nursing quality indicators and other patient care outcomes (eg HBIPS, seclusion/restraint, falls, etc).
Delivers direct patient care as required.
Demonstrates clinical expertise by applying evidence-based knowledge, astute clinical judgment, and decision-making that supports and optimizes patient care.
Fosters a Patient First environment.
Provides clinical leadership through role modeling professional practice behaviors, proper delegation, and management of the team by maintaining staff accountability.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications Candidates must have a Bachelor s degree in Nursing and a Masters is preferred.
At least 3 - 5 years of progressively more responsible job related experience, preferably in an Inpatient psychiatric setting; at least 1 - 3 years of management and/or leadership.
Must have a current District of Columbia RN license or be eligible for endorsement.
Certification in area of psychiatric nursing and/or certification in nursing administration by a nationally recognized nursing organization is desirable.

The inpatient unit has a capacity of 46 beds (24 on Unit 2K and 22 on Unit 2L).
Our services are available to adults (18 years and older) for the treatment of all types of psychiatric, mental and emotional disorders, organic disorders with emotional components; the symptoms of which place the patient at imminent risk of harm to self or others.
Inpatient Adult Behavioral Health & Psychiatry Our inpatient psychiatric program provides a therapeutic environment through individualized treatment.
The treatment we provide is developed by a highly skilled interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, nurse practitioners, expressive therapists, discharge planners and CD counselors.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
