Job Description:
This job family is responsible for the installation, servicing and upgrading PC equipment, mainframe connections, and peripherals and responds to user requests.
Troubleshoots and repairs computer software, hardware, and network configurations.
Provides technical and user support for PC components, mainframe networking, and LAN-based systems.
May be internal or external client focused.
The program is an IT Services program supporting several customers.
The program provides a range of IT services, including help desk, deskside support, Windows workstation engineering and maintenance, managed print services, ITSM, Active Directory services, and video conferencing, among others.
In support of a planned technology refresh within the we are looking for Deskside Support Technicians to support the preparation and deployment of 4000 new laptops, tablets, and desktops to replace existing end-user equipment.
Technicians will be responsible for:
- Preparing computers according to SOPs (imaging, configuring, installing software and accounts) - Packaging and shipping equipment to remote/teleworking end-users - Delivering and deploying equipment to onsite end-users - Support end-users (remotely and on-site) with their initial logon to new systems - Assist with any approved non-standard software installation requests - Provide end-user assistance with operating new equipment Required Skills:
- Prior experience supporting desktop refresh projects or migrations, including Windows OS - Prior Help Desk or Deskside Support experience in Windows environments Preferred Skills/
Experience:
- Active DOJ clearances, preferably fully adjudicated within the last 5 years - Familiarity with Remedy ITSM and/or ServiceNow Typical education and
Experience:
Associates degree or equivalent and 4
years of related experience.
Technical School desired.
