The Satellite Pediatric Emergency Department is located at 1310 Southern Ave SE and operates 24 hours per day and 7 days per week.
The Children's Satellite ED has 16 beds, including a Crisis Room and a room designed for psychiatric care.
We provide urgent and emergent services to the growing pediatric population in wards 7 & 8 averaging 37,000 visits/year.
We have a close knit staff that provides essential care for children and their families.
Our staff understands the challenges and high levels of stress that parents endure when they present with their sick child.
As a result, we are always ready and fully capable to care for the community we serve.
We have magnet recognized nurses as well as experienced staff that is able to provide the best possible health care for children.

All nursing practice is based on the legal scope of practice, national and specialty nursing standards, Children's National Policies and Procedures, andin accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
The Professional Model of Care requires registered professional nurses to be responsible andaccountable for their own practice.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
