JOB TITLE Data Transport Engineer LOCATION Remote DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Create data flow, assess network configurations, and develop data transport solutions using either Cloud OneEnterprise Application Interface (Apache Nifi) or Enterprise Service Bus (JBOSS Fuse).
Analyze, troubleshoot, and implement configuration and code changes to support Tier 3 Data Transport ticketsfor applications in production.
Work with the Cyber Security Team and system and database administrators to ensure guard rails and torequest network/firewall configuration changes.
Interface with Mission Application Owners one-on-one and in integrated project team meetings to collect andvalidate requirements, understand problems, and present solutions.
Prepare/update interface specification documentation and assist with providing information to create/updatememorandums of understanding between mission application owners and their trading partners.
Implement changes through the approved change control process for data feeds.
Support testing in all environments.
Able to perform various coding and programming tasks, such as design or development of Apache Camelroutes, Service mix components, OSGi services, and SOAP web services.
The role will include the full life cycle of architecture, design, coding, and testing activities.
Facilitate requirements and fit/gap workshops with other technical staff on technical topics and non-functionalrequirements.
Investigate and resolve situations where actual test results do not match the expected test results.
Experience writing and maintaining application software documentation including scope requirements, logicaldesigns, technical designs, testing plans, etc.
REQUIREMENTS Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer with a Bachelors in an Engineering or ComputerScience related field.
Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated success with similar types of work supporting data transport engineering.
Two (2) years of experience with one or more of the following:
Fuse Middleware Platform, RedHat JBOSSEnterprise Middleware Offering, Apache NiFi.
Previous experience with an enterprise service bustechnology ie Sun/SeeBeyond eGate/ICAN/JCAPS, Oracle SOA Suite, IBM Websphere, etc.
is a plus.
Three (3) years of experience with Java EE development experience coupled with knowledge of development frameworks ie Spring, Hibernate, MVC.
Knowledge of integration concepts and technology ie queuing, publish/subscribe, data modeling/mapping.
Experience with AWS, Micrsoft Azure Cloud, or Google Cloud Platform.
Agile Kanban or Scrum.
Excellent skills with continuous integration toolsets ie Maven, Jenkins, Github, Bitbucket, Atlassian, Artifactory, etc.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
Security Plus or CISSP certification.
Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SSBI.
Note:
Top Secret clearance meets the requirements of SSBI.
Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe or other modern software development methods/practices.
Demonstrated experience with Active MQ technology, or other JMS based messaging.
AWS or Azure Cloud certifications.
