Program Analyst, CG-0343-12/13

Performs corporate and management reporting of initiatives and projects related to the Division's mission related functions and goals. Provides periodic status reports to management on key activities and measures. Conducts program and budgetary analysis to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of Division activities. Utilizes data from both performance and financial systems. Present a wide variety of data, reports and analyses to assist senior management in decision making, policy and goal development, corporate reporting, and assessment of internal controls. Work with management to develop initiatives, monitor progress, and report on the status of performance objectives. Translates corporate and division objectives into a business planning process that links the Division's mission and goals with its annual budget and provides for measurement of Division performance. Serves as a Division liaison to the Division of Finance for GAO and OIG activity, coordinating data requests and responses to audit reports, monitoring corrective actions, and reporting progress to management and other divisions. Coordinates Division's response on inter-divisional reports including the FDIC Annual Report, FDIC Strategic Plan, and Plain Writing Act compliance report. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-11 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience conducting analytical studies on programs or operations, evaluating work processes and internal controls; and developing recommendations to improve operations. CG-13:
To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience designing and conducting analytical studies on programs or operations, evaluating work processes and internal controls; and implementing strategies including long range planning. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors - if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
