Attorney Advisor
As an Attorney Advisor, you will:
- Primarily, provide legal advice in disciplinary, labor-management relations and EEO matters, and represent the Bureau in employment and labor law administrative proceedings. Your other duties will include the:
- Review of policies, procedures, regulations, technical manuals, and other agency publications for legal sufficiency; - Recommend policy and develop the procedures and regulations implementing new or amended legislation; - Draft legislation or prepare complete reports on changes in legislation in areas within scope of the Bureau's mission; and - Write memoranda of law, client correspondence, or notes, after researching statutory and case law. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.Specialized
Experience:
For the GS-14 you must have at least five and a half years of experience as a practicing attorney handling labor and employment law matters. In addition to the qualification requirements identified above, in accordance with Treasury's Department-wide policy on employment in the excepted service, one year of time-in-grade is required prior to being placed into a Treasury position at the next higher grade level, if the attorney worked in the Federal government within the previous 52 weeks.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
