Financial Analyst

Overview:
IntelliWare is an award-winning national security company with an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst to support a federal client.
The Financial Analyst shall provide staff support to the federal client and various programs for a variety of financial management, analysis, and reporting activities supporting strategic financial business processes; Division-level budget programming, formulation, and execution within the federal budget process; process improvement initiatives; and policy development.
This position is exempt.
Clearance:
Active Top Secret clearance is required at time of application.
Candidate must have the ability to successfully complete a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph examination if successful CI Poly has not been recorded within the past five years.
Required Skills and
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Minimum 6 years expert experience in federal government (intelligence, defense, law enforcement community) leading and/or coordinating multiple, complex projects with frequent aggressive and/or competing deadlines.
6 years of experience at a headquarters and/or executive-level that includes a combination of:
analyzing financial data, executing organizational budgets, developing budget justifications, and/or performing oversight for strategic programs that align with organizational goals.
Strong experience using government accounting principles and fiscal law funds propriety practices.
High expertise analyzing and researching financial data, written/verbal information, and programmatic outcomes to assess risks, formulate recommendations, and present written financial analysis and data which aligns with organizational goals.
Strong experience writing and producing resource-focused reports, summary papers, persuasive position papers, and/or briefs containing written financial analyses, textual justifications, and financial graphics describing fiscal performance related to operational outcomes, such as budget justifications, budget summaries, execution position papers, and/or budget talking points for executive-level and external agency audiences.
Seasoned experience developing and writing organizational performance measures related to resource allocations and supporting collection and reporting of financial metrics.
Proficiency in creating MS Excel spreadsheets and pivot tables, PowerPoint presentations and demonstrative graphics, Word documents, and SharePoint lists and workflow tools.
Demonstrated ability to successfully work at an Executive Staff-level.
Superior attention to detail and writing ability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven self-starter who takes initiative without guidance.
Writing sample required.
Preferred Skills and
Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of federal financial management systems, management, and accounting platforms, and/or resource-related databases.
Relevant certifications PMP, CDFM, CGFM, or related certifications.
Experience with government invoicing procedures and funds accountability.
Expertise creating and using MS Excel pivot tables.
Master s degree preferred.
Location:
Washington, DC Travel:
Some travel will be required but is limited to the Greater Washington DC Metropolitan Area, to include Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
