Data Center VMWare Administrator
Bering Global Solutions, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Data Center VMWare Administrator for government client located in Washington DC.
The ideal candidate will provide day-to-day operational services supporting Data Center systems that are currently hosted on HP enterprise servers and storage and VMWare virtualization.
The successful candidate must be able to operate in an enterprise setting, with collaborative and communications skills to support staff managing the enterprise IT environment.
This position is primarily remote.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.

Design, build, implement, and deploy data center systems, software applications, and hardware.
Administer and support VMWare Vcenter and ESXi Administer, run, and maintain Windows andor Linux server infrastructure in production, dev and test environments.
Strong ability to install, troubleshoot and deliver COTS and custom apps to end users using server infrastructure.
Manage, troubleshoot and remediate issues with HP enterprise servers and storage Contribute to the design and implementation of disaster recovery plans for servers.
Work ticket queues and document resolutions completely and accurately.
Provides technology-related recommendations, implementations, and upgrades.
Documents the enterprise backup environment(s) and develops related documents as needed.

Required (Minimum) Qualifications Bachelorrsquos Degree in Computer Science or related field andor equivalent certifications or military work-related experience Minimum of 5
years of IT support or Administration experience Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Ability to understand and troubleshoot technical problems Deep knowledge of VMWare Vcenter and ESXi, including how to deploy new ESXi hosts and perform upgrades Microsoft Windows Server (20012 up) andor RHEL 7 ( up) Experience with VMWare Vrops Knowledge of HP hardware used in an enterprise setting Ability to recommend hardware and software solutions for a wide variety of local and remote applications Ability to professionally participate in a formal Change Management process Strong customer relations Strong oral and written communication skills Strong Analytical Skills Excellent organization and planning skills Preferred NA PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
