M9 Solutions is seeking a Security Control Analyst to work on a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC (Remote during COVID restrictions).
Candidates must have an active Secret clearance.
Required Skills and Qualifications5 years of experience in security operations concepts and implementation.
Experience in incident response concepts and implementation.
Experience in Cyber Intelligence concepts and implementation.
Experience in cyber intrusion kill chain concepts and implementation.
SANS Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) or Certified Incident Handler (GCIH).
(ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
6 years of equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of one certification.
Must possess a bachelor's degree.
Must have an active Secret Clearance.
Must be eligible for Top Secret, SCI Clearance.
Preferred SkillsExperience with accreditation of Cloud systems, including FedRAMP and associated documentation and processes.
Strong familiarity with National Institute of Technology (NIST) Information Security Documents.
Experience executing Step 4 (Security Assessment) of the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Experience developing and promulgating Security Assessment Plans.
Experience interpreting and evaluating implementations of NIST 800-53 rev 4 security controls.
Documenting NIST 80053 security control compliance findings within Requirements Traceability Matrixes (RTMs) and Security Assessment Reports (SARs).
Experience reviewing and interpreting Tenable Nessus Vulnerability and Compliance scans, WebInspect scans, and dbProtect scansAbility to execute Security Assessments and develop and deliver supporting documentation within aggressive timelines.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Infrastructure, Virtualization, Web Tier, Application Tier and/or Database Tier and Operating System experience recommended.
Working knowledge of Ongoing Authorization within the NIST Framework.
ResponsibilitiesPerform Analysis of design specifications, design documentation, configuration practices and procedures, and operational practices and procedures.
Provide identification of noncompliance of security requirements and possible mitigations to requirements that are not in compliance.
Validates the security requirements of the information system.
Verifies and validates that the system meets the security requirements.
Provides vulnerability assessment of the system, coordinates penetration testing, and provides a comprehensive verification and validation report (certification report) for the information system.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
