Position
Summary:
The HHS emPOWER program , a partnership between ASPR and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, was initially launched to provide dynamic data , mapping tools , training and informational resources to help communities protect the health of more than 4.
1 million Medicare beneficiaries who live independently and rely on life maintaining electricity-dependent medical equipment and health care services.
The program has since expanded to include initiatives that range from developing new healthcare system and at-risk population data and mapping capabilities and artificial intelligence response tools, to conducting real-time healthcare system surveillance studies, and launching innovative data pilots with states and territories to help them develop complementary emPOWER pediatric and other adult population datasets using their state operated Medicaid and Children Health Insurance Program data.
Together, emPOWER's innovative tools and support are helping federal-to-community partners across sectors to save lives and protect Americans from 21st Century health security threats.
Essential Functions:
Provides program and project management support and subject matter expertise to the Director of the HHS emPOWER Program on matters related to the public health and medical needs for emPOWER at-risk populations and healthcare system and services that support them inProvides support to the Director on emPOWER portal development andProvides facilitation, coordination, project management and other support on the broad array of emPOWER projects and initiatives that includes but is not limited to:
task, project and programmatic justifications and subsequent design, implementation, and reporting of work planProvides support for a broad array of emPOWER stakeholder engagement activities with federal, SLTT, community and private sector partners to support awareness, adoption, implementation and use of emPOWER capabilities, tools, training andSupports the development of innovative guidance, training, tools and resources to improve federal to community level readiness, preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation capabilities for emPOWER at-risk population and the healthcare system and services that they depend on in the community.
Develops innovative strategies to enhance integration of emPOWER data, tools and resources across ASPR and other agency organizational and operationalProvides support in analyzing studies, policy or other documents to identify and or propose opportunities for broader integration of current or development of future emPOWER at-risk and healthcare system situational awarenessDevelop original emPOWER materials that include, but are not limited to talking points, presentations, strategy documents, issue briefs, operational doctrine, peer review journal articles, and or other policyPerform other duties as assigned by the Director of the HHS emPOWERCoordinate health care coalition (HCC) recruitment, registration, tracking, and project management for the joint ASPR/FEMA Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) Health Care Coalition Response Leadership Course in Anniston,Assist with day-to-day activities related to the development of the ASPR/FEMA CDP Medical Response to Overwhelming No-Notice Mass Trauma Course in Anniston, AL, including coordinating with instructors, project management, capturing lessons learned, developing reports, and developing PowerPoint (PPT) presentations for targetSupport the Partnership for Disaster Health Response cooperative agreement project officer with day-to-day activities, including capturing lessons learned, developing reports, and developing PPT presentations for targetAssist the National Healthcare Preparedness Program (NHPP) and the Emergency Care Coordination Center (ECCC) with day-to-day activities related to an initiative to develop a 21st-Century National Disaster Medical System of care for health care preparedness and response, including project management, developing white papers and reports, proofreading and copy editing documents, and developing PPT presentations for target audiences.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
